Back from Holidays

Last week was a sweet start. However, except enjoying myself I had to work hard on my essay. Luckily, it was done.

Today I am writing this entry as soon as I got in the Lab. Yes, I am back. Minutes later I will publish Code Beautifier Collection 5.3.2. Enjoy it.

Alex Problems with SharpDevelop 3.0

Because Alex feature is not that necessary for a SharpDevelop user, I think there is no need to make it part of the official SD. That is why it is now in trouble with SD 3.0.

SD 3.0 is now in Alpha, and is not feasible. There is a lot of API changes, so several places of Alex should be modified later. It is not easy to make a project for SD 2.1 and another for SD 3.0, so I decide to only support 2.1 builds now.

As you can see in the SD wiki "Third party addins," Alex is marked as broken. Since the source code is provided at CodePlex, you can build it yourself. In my latest experiments, the 1.0 source code still works fine.

The Holiday Sweeties

I love eating sweeties. Now the coming holiday allows me to buy a lot of them. A nice excuse. In order to celebrate it, I can have a good taste of them day by day. There is still a problem aside. I have to graduate on time. I am sort of nervous.

Whatever your favorite food is, enjoy yourself during the holidays.

Latest BCB Broadcast from CodeGear

If you are using Borland C++Builder 2006, or any older versions, you will see that it is not easy to use certain C++ libraries. However, there are tips you should know about the efforts CodeGear has made. The following is a recent broadcast on this subject:

Using C++ Libraries, DLLs, ANSI C++, Boost, and the C++ TR1 Library (replay)

Yes, after watching it most of my questions are answered well. For example, I will try the latest build of Boost instead of the 1.33.1.

If you still care about BCB, give it a chance once again.

HardQuery Report: Tips about R2U2

This new version will be published soon - in days. But I think there is still a lot to do about the documents. As a result, I will first release the build, and then publish the documents here. That will be horrible but I have to say I need a rest after so much suffering about graduation.

Stay tuned.

The first entry here

It is the first blog entry here. Since I have been blogging a lot in the Beta version of blog.CSDN.net, I think it is nice to have some other stabler server. Yes, Live Spaces from MS is a choice, but I cannot comment on my friend's blog in Firefox, the greatest browser I ever see. So I am now giving blogger a chance. We will see if it works finer.

That is all for the first entry. And now I am going to see what I can do here in Blogger.

In order to save efforts, I will leave my old posts there in CSDN. If you'd like to see them, go to http://blog.csdn.net/lextm
